A boost with a bite
Some pedals start with a circuit. Some start with a need.
This one started with a jar of mustard.
Dijon is just two hours away from where we live, and we have family there—so we make the trip from time to time. It’s the kind of visit that resets you: good food, good wine, and of course, the real mustard. The kind that climbs up your nose, makes your eyes water, and still somehow makes everything taste better.
Back home, while finishing up a clean boost design, that jar became an unexpected source of inspiration.
Texas heat, Dijon sting

The pedal we were working on had this natural brightness to it. Cranked up, it didn’t just get louder—it got spicy. Not harsh, not fizzy—just sharp, bold, and full of attitude. It immediately reminded us of Texas tones. That SRV kind of snap. The kind of boost that makes a Strat bark, that makes a solo cut through with heat.
We kept joking that it was like pouring Texas hot sauce on your clean tone.
But in our case, the sauce came from Dijon.
Somewhere between the jokes and the nose-tingling memories of lunch, the name fell into place: Mostard.
A terrible pun? Definitely.
A perfect fit? No question.
Our kind of flavor
We loved that it was silly. But also that it made sense. Mostard is clean, bright, and unapologetically bold. It wakes up your rig with a sting that doesn’t come from distortion—it comes from character. It’s our local hot sauce in pedal form: sharp, addictive, and not to be underestimated.
Should we stop?
Let us know—really. Should we stop with the ridiculous puns on our pedal names?
Because honestly, we can’t get enough.
Drop us a message if you’ve got strong feelings… or better puns.
