We are RhPf Electronics, an independent guitar effects company based in Basel, Switzerland.
We design original guitar pedals that stand apart. Each design carries its own story, sound, and character.
It all started after a twist in our lives and a lost bet that turned into a promise to build something meaningful together. Today RhPf continues to grow through the community that surrounds it.
Our work is guided by a few simple principles: stay independent, have a good time, and contribute to the world around us. Every pedal we build carries a piece of that philosophy.
RhPf is our way of turning sound, ideas, and the people around us into something real.

This is us
Simone (according to him): My better half, part-time muse, and part-time caretaker, always keeping me grounded and pushing me forward. Without her, RhPf Electronics would still be just a collection of messy notes and wild ideas. Her creativity transcended my ambitions and took this project places I never imagined. She handles graphic design, communication, and marketing, making sure our pedals donβt just sound great but look the part too. More than that, sheβs my constant source of support and inspiration, always there, always believing.
Thomas (according to her): The genius behind the boards. When we moved in together, I had no idea what all those tiny components, capacitors, resistors, and transistors were for. They arrived in a box, moved in with us, and sat there waiting. After his diagnosis, something shifted. One by one, he started taking them out, tinkering, experimenting, and bringing ideas to life. Long story short, the first Mosferatwo was born.
His patience, dedication, and precision are something I deeply admire. He is the reason our pedals sound great and are built to last. He is the engineer, the problem solver, the one who makes the magic happen. And if that wasnβt impressive enough, he even had the patience to teach me how to solder.
Pouchie Lou (according to herself): Probably the most important βemployeeβ at RhPf Electronics. Sheβs our motivator, always in a good mood, and the heart of our little operation. Whether weβre designing, soldering, or testing pedals, sheβs right there, supervising with an expert eye (or maybe just hoping for snacks). And if thereβs a treat involved? Sheβll even help turn on the Mosferatwo. Employee of all months, no contest.
She takes her role at RhPf Electronics very seriously. As our official quality controller, she has personally tested the durability of each pedal, proving and stress-testing their resistance with unwavering dedication. Whether itβs ensuring that every enclosure can withstand real-life wear and tear or keeping morale high in the workshop, Pouchie Lou plays a vital role in making sure every pedal meets our high standards before it leaves the shop.
Fred (according to Pouchie Lou): The calm one. While Thomas disappears into nerdy explanations and Simi keeps everything moving, Fred shows up with a guitar and makes the pedals sing. He listens carefully, plays everything from gentle blues to roaring fuzz, and somehow always finds the setting that makes a guitar come alive. If something sounds good, Fred usually knows before anyone else says a word.
Iβve also heard that Thomas and Fred go way back. About twenty years before I was even born, they were working in the same recording studio and even built their very first pedal together during βworkingβ hours. Having Fred join the journey now feels like a full circle moment for everyone around here. Personally, I just know he smells like a musician, plays very well, and occasionally drops food. Which makes him a crucial part of the team… and when heβs not playing guitar, he quietly winds his own pickups too. Apparently making the sound is not enough for him, he also likes building the part that captures it.
