1. Who we are
RhPf Electronics is a sole proprietorship registered in Switzerland, owned by Thomas Besse, Spitzackerstrasse 30, 4103 Bottmingen, Switzerland. You can reach us at contact@rhpfelectronics.com or +41 79 567 84 40. We build handmade guitar pedals and ship them worldwide from our workshop in Basel. We build pedals because we love it. This is our hobby, our passion, and our way of putting a bit of fun into the world.
2. Scope
These terms apply to all orders placed on rhpfelectronics.com. By placing an order you agree to these conditions. We try to keep things human and simple, so if something unexpected happens, reach out and we will work with you to find a fair solution.
3. Orders and contract formation
When you place an order, it is an offer. The contract is concluded once you receive our order confirmation email. Please check your details before submitting. If you spot a mistake, tell us quickly: most of the time we can fix it before we pack your pedal.
4. Prices, taxes and duties
Prices are shown on each product page. Swiss customers see prices in CHF by default. International customers can choose to pay in CHF, USD, EUR, CAD, AUD or GBP at checkout. Prices in other currencies are converted from CHF using the current exchange rate. Shipping costs are calculated at checkout. You are responsible for paying any import duties, taxes or brokerage fees that may apply in your country. If a pedal is returned to us because the duties or taxes were not paid, we will refund the order amount minus shipping and a 20% restocking fee. This covers handling, payment processing costs, and the extra work created by the return. These charges are set by your local customs authorities and are outside our control, but we are happy to share experiences from other players if you ask.
5. Payment
We accept the payment methods shown at checkout. Orders ship only after payment is authorized. If there is a hiccup with payment, just let us know: we can resend an invoice link or help you finish the process. For trade and retailer orders, payment is due upon receipt of the goods. Invoices unpaid after 28 days are subject to a 10 % late-payment fee. Ownership of the goods remains with RhPf Electronics until full payment is received.
6. Shipping and delivery
Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on the destination. We usually dispatch pedals on Wednesdays, so your order ships within five business days. Parcels are shipped with tracking, and risk passes once the order is delivered to the address you gave us. If a package arrives damaged, please notify us within 48 hours and keep the packaging so we can file a claim efficiently. Although Wednesday is our usual post run, we often sneak in extra trips: tell us if you need it urgently and we will try to hustle.
7. Returns
You have 14 days from delivery to return a pedal. It must be in the same condition as shipped and include all original items. Return shipping is at your expense, and the original shipping cost we paid to get it to you is not refundable. Always contact us before sending anything back so we can provide instructions. You are responsible for all customs paperwork and any import duties or fees on the return.
8. Warranty
All RhPf Electronics pedals come with the statutory 2-year warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. We repair or replace at our discretion. Normal wear and tear, cosmetic scratches, misuse, incorrect power supplies, reversed polarity, liquid damage, modifications or accidents are not covered. Use a regulated 9V DC, center-negative supply unless the product page states otherwise.
That’s the legal part. In practice, we hate to think of one of our handmade pedals sitting unloved in a box. If something fails after two years, still reach out, if you are kind, we’ll usually go above and beyond. We repair at cost or help you bring it back to life. Even if you messed it up yourself (your dog chewed it, you spilled beer on it, etc.), just ask nicely and we’ll figure something out. Cosmetic wear? Honestly, a pedal with a scratch just looks and sounds better. We couldn’t care less.
9. Repairs and modifications
Unauthorised repairs or modifications void the warranty. We can quote paid repairs for out-of-warranty issues. Want different LED brightness, a quieter switch, or a small tweak? Ask us. If we can do it safely, we’ll help.
10. Shipping costs for service
For returns and warranty service, shipping both ways is at the customer’s expense unless we agree otherwise in writing. If the failure is clearly our fault and very recent, we try to be generous, so talk to us first.
11. Accuracy and availability
We do our best to keep specs, prices and availability correct, but errors can happen. If we discover an error after you order, we will contact you. You can accept the change or cancel for a full refund.
12. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including loss of income, data or opportunity. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the pedal that gave rise to the claim. If we cause a problem, we will own it and fix what is reasonable.
13. Intellectual property
All designs, circuit concepts, graphics, texts, product names and media on rhpfelectronics.com are our intellectual property or used with permission. No commercial use without our written consent. If you want to feature us in a video or article, reach out and we’ll provide assets.
14. Data protection
We process personal data according to our Privacy Policy. No spam, no selling lists, and if you want off our list, just tell us.
15. Governing law
Swiss law applies, without conflict-of-law rules, and the official texts of Swiss federal legislation can be found on the Swiss Federal Law portal at Fedlex published by the Swiss government. Place of jurisdiction is Basel-Landschaft, Switzerland. We prefer friendly solutions, but if something escalates, we keep it fair and factual.
16. Changes
We may update these terms at any time. The version published here at the time of your order applies. If we change something important, we’ll make it obvious.
Final Word
We’re here for fun, music, and community. We want every RhPf pedal out there to be loved and played. If you’ve got a problem, just reach out. We’re a homebrew workshop in Basel, not a warehouse with robots and your support means the world to us.
