The Moment We Realised We Wanted Something Similar in Switzerland
As we followed the progress of the Tournée Matos and exchanged emails with the participants, one feeling kept coming back: this is exactly the kind of human connection we want in Switzerland. Not loud marketing, not paid promotion, not the usual product-placement stuff. Real guitarists, real rooms, real curiosity.
So we asked ourselves:
What would a Swiss version of this look like?
That question became the spark for the RhPf Touring Board.
How the Tournée Matos Shaped Our Own Project
Instead of sending one pedal around the country, we built a complete board with multiple RhPf and other Swiss made pedals, powered, patched, and ready to plug in. It is designed to move from band to band, rehearsal room to rehearsal room, from rock trios to indie songwriters to doom bassists who want to see how far they can push a MOSFET.
Just like the Tournée Matos, it relies on:
- trust between musicians
- a shared love for exploration
- no expectation of reviews or sales
- only honest, personal impressions
We wanted to give players the same joy that French guitarists feel when Pierre sends something their way. And we owe that idea entirely to the Tournée Matos.
Where the Road Leads Now
The Tournée Matos showed us something important. When a piece of gear travels hand-to-hand between musicians, it stops being a product and starts being a story. It creates memories, discoveries, and sometimes friendships.
The RhPf Touring Board exists because of that philosophy.
So every time it arrives at a new home in Switzerland, every time someone plugs into it, every time a band posts a photo with it, we think of Pierre’s work and the community he built. The Tournée Matos planted the seed. We simply grew it on Swiss soil.
