Honest, Intimate, Timeless: Meet Violettes
Sometimes music does not just sound, it transports. That is what happened when we stumbled across Violettes on Instagram, playing an acoustic cover of Alain Souchon. For me, it was like being carried straight back to childhood. Growing up, every road trip in my mother’s old Renault 21 Nevada was soundtracked by Souchon, Brassens, and Renaud. From the seaside to the mountains, in sun and in rain, those songs were the constant companion of five boys in the backseat. Hearing Violettes play brought me back there, to a place of innocence, family, and unfiltered joy.
Discovering she was from Switzerland made it even more special. I reached out to tell her how much her music meant to me. I shared her songs with Simone, who immediately said: “A Twin Peaks Eiger-Mönch would fit her music so well.” We sent her one, and she loved it. It felt right, her music carries the same sense of depth, space, and purity that inspired us to build that pedal in the first place.
Sans Ascenseur – Debut Single
Her debut single Sans ascenseur begins with delicate guitar arpeggios that invite you to close your eyes and drift.
