How La Chaîne Guitare led us to discover Zimer Blind
Sometimes the most meaningful connections in the guitar world start in the simplest way possible: a pedal in a box travelling from player to player.
Thanks to Pierre Journel and La Chaîne Guitare, RhPf Electronics had the opportunity to take part in the Tournée Matos, a program that allows guitarists across France to receive a piece of gear at home and live with it for a full week. No showroom pressure. No quick store test. Just real playing, in a familiar environment, with your own guitar and amplifier.
For us as builders, it is one of the most honest ways a pedal can be experienced. A player plugs it into their rig, spends several evenings with it, and forms their own opinion. The pedal either fits into their musical life or it does not. Nothing could be more authentic.
One of those pedals on tour was the Twin Peaks Eiger-Mönch.
And that is how we met Loïc Bernarot.
The Review That Made Us Stop and Listen
When Loïc received the Twin Peaks through the Tournée Matos, he did what many players do. He explored the pedal, recorded a video, and shared his thoughts.
But something about his review immediately stood out.
Instead of simply demonstrating sounds, Loïc explained what was happening. He described the behaviour of the controls, the interaction between parameters, and how the delay structure shaped the musical result. In many ways, he articulated the design intent behind the pedal even better than we could ourselves.
That level of clarity is rare.
So we looked him up.
Discovering Zimer Blind
The video led us to Zimer Blind, the platform Loïc runs together with his partner Angelina.
What we found there was far more than a YouTube channel.
Zimer Blind is a full educational project dedicated to guitarists. It includes lessons, detailed gear discussions, backing tracks, newsletters, and educational material designed to help players understand music and equipment more deeply. Loïc even publishes eBooks and maintains a thoughtful newsletter that we genuinely recommend to French-speaking guitarists interested in improving their playing and understanding their gear.
Loïc is also blind, and that fact shapes the way he approaches teaching and explaining music. Listening becomes central. Describing sound becomes precise. Pedagogy becomes intentional.
The result is remarkably instructive content.
But what truly touched us was something else.
When Two Journeys Resonate
As we explored Zimer Blind, parts of Loïc’s story began to resonate strongly with our own.
He and Angelina are building something meaningful together. A project born from passion, persistence, and the desire to share music with others.
That felt very familiar.
RhPf Electronics began in a similar way. After a difficult health chapter, Simi pushed us to turn years of ideas and circuit sketches into something real. What started as a personal refuge slowly became a project we now build together.
When we saw the same spirit behind Zimer Blind, the connection felt natural.
So we wrote to Loïc.
From the Tournée Matos to the Mosphoros
We simply wanted to thank him for the Twin Peaks review. But after discovering his work, we felt like doing something more.
We offered to send him a pedal of his choice. He hesitated between two: Mo(s)ghoul and Mosphoros. Eventually, we sent him the Mosphoros.
True to his style, Loïc explored it thoroughly and produced a new video explaining how the pedal behaves, how the controls interact, and how players can use it musically.

Thanks to this unexpected connection, Loïc has now created content around several RhPf pedals:
