RhPf Electronics at Band Merch Day – Basel, November 15th 2025
We are heading back to Sommercasino, the legendary Basel venue everyone knows as Soca, for the first edition of Band Merch Day. This place has been part of our lives for decades. We have seen friends form bands here, watched local scenes rise and fall, and spent countless nights in the crowd long before RhPf Electronics even existed.
Coming back not as spectators but as participants feels special. This year, our RhPf booth takes the spotlight with something we have been quietly preparing for months.
Two New Releases – First Reveal at Soca
Band Merch Day will host the world premiere of two brand new RhPf models. No teasers, no clips, no countdowns. The first people to hear them will be the ones standing in the room with us. We prefer real volume, real reactions and real conversations over online buildup. Once the dust settles and we have a moment, we will simply add them to the roster. No noise, no theatrics.
Both pedals have been in development for a long time, shaped quietly in the background while everything else moved around them. This event felt like the right place to finally let them out into the world.
The artwork for one of the new releases comes from our friend Manuel Guldimann, who is also the organizer of Band Merch Day. His visual language set the tone for the entire project and gave the pedal its final identity.
We are keeping every detail under wraps until the doors open. If you want the first look and the first sound, you will have to be there.
Why This Event Matters
Band Merch Day brings together everything we love about the Basel scene: musicians supporting each other, fans discovering new voices, and local culture built through direct contact rather than algorithms.
The merch market runs all afternoon, giving visitors time to talk with artists, flip through shirts, vinyl and tapes, and get a real sense of the community that surrounds these bands. This is the kind of event where conversations turn into ideas and ideas turn into collaborations.
For RhPf, this is where our pedals belong. Loud rooms, real people, real playing.
The Evening Lineup
When the sun goes down, the room shifts from market to venue with three strong local acts.
- Echolot: Basel progressive doom with deep atmosphere and long, hypnotic journeys.
- Lost Tape: Alternative rock from Basel, shaped by grunge and stoner influences, raw and energetic.
- Retromorcego: Swiss Brazilian tropical dead grunge. Unusual, heavy and theatrical.
Alongside them, two bands close to our brand will be part of the merch day:
- M.O.T.H.E.R.: A cornerstone of the modern Swiss heavy scene, known for their precision and power. Longtime RhPf supporters and one of the bands we are proud to stand beside.
- The Attycs: High energy alternative rock from the younger generation, rising fast and bringing fresh fire to every stage they touch.
A Basel Classic – Sommercasino
Sommercasino has been a cultural landmark since the 70s. Practically every genre imaginable has passed through these doors. Many of the musicians we work with today took their first steps on this stage. For us, Soca represents the roots of the Basel underground and a place where creativity has always been allowed to grow.
Returning with our own booth inside this building is something we do not take for granted.
What You Will Find at the RhPf Booth
Visitors will be able to try the full RhPf lineup, talk tone with us, and be the first to lay hands on the two new releases. No announcements will be made before the event, so the first sound comes from the Soca floor. That is how we like it.
