Bienna Rocks Community Festival 2026
On May 9th, 2026, RhPf Electronics joined the Bienna Rocks Community Festival at DISPO in Nidau.
The event was organised by our very good friend Lenny, singer and guitarist of M.O.T.H.E.R. It brought together bands, musicians, instrument builders, gear makers, teachers, and music lovers for one full day of local rock culture.
Bienna Rocks had a simple and beautiful purpose: giving the local scene a place to meet, play, learn, listen, and connect.
For RhPf, that made the invitation special. We love events where people can experience gear directly, ask questions, try things, and discover sounds in a real room.
That is exactly what RhPf Plugged In is about.
DISPO Nidau
DISPO in Nidau was the right place for the event.
The venue did not feel like a generic event hall. It felt open, active, and made for exchange. That suited Bienna Rocks perfectly.
Throughout the day, people moved between music, gear, lessons, conversations, and live performances. Nothing felt isolated. Everything seemed to belong together.
For a festival built around local rock culture, independent projects, and hands-on discovery, DISPO made complete sense.
RhPf Electronics at Bienna Rocks
RhPf Electronics was invited to bring pedals for people to try hands-on.
This time, Thomas represented RhPf for the day. Simone could not join, and for a very good reason. Seven months pregnant, with the day turning properly hot, she wisely stayed home to cool down.
So Thomas packed the pedals, made the trip to Nidau, and carried the RhPf noise for the day.
As always, the best part was watching people plug in. Someone turns a knob, hits a chord, reacts, adjusts, smiles, asks a question, or simply keeps playing.
Those moments matter to us. They tell you more than any product description ever could.
It was also great to hear other noise makers around us. Events like this remind us that gear only becomes meaningful when people use it.
Independent Swiss Gear, Side by Side
We were set up next to our good friends from Ebbe Design.
They had just launched their Kickstarter for their magnetic modular pedalboard system, so it felt special to share that space with them. People could move from pedals to pedalboards and back again, discovering different parts of the same world.
It was a nice reminder that independent gear can take many forms, but often starts from the same place: curiosity, problem-solving, and love for music.
We also spent time with our good friend Sascha Greuter from Greuter Audio. Sascha has been part of the Swiss pedal world for some time, and he is a real inspiration for us.
His feedback, knowledge, and experience mean a lot to us at RhPf. Being around people like him keeps us curious, humble, and motivated.
Masterclasses and Shared Knowledge
Bienna Rocks was not just about booths and live sets.
The day also included masterclasses, and we loved that part of the event. It showed that the festival was not only about presenting music. It was also about sharing knowledge.
Monti from The Crawling Crows demonstrated the infinite possibilities of guitar effects. We were riveted. Even as pedal makers, we still love watching someone open new doors with sound.
Later, Adams and Ivo from M.O.T.H.E.R. gave a masterclass on drums and bass. They showed how the rhythm section does more than support a song. It makes the music breathe, move, and come alive.
For a moment, there was groove in the air.
The Bands
Then the bands started playing.
For us, discovering local talent is always one of the biggest thrills at events like this. You hear new voices, new riffs, new rhythms, and new ideas. More importantly, you hear what is growing right here around us.
Bienna Rocks featured Lyguan, Cowboy Killer, Ripstone, Mary Lou & The Sinners, and M.O.T.H.E.R. Each band brought its own energy to the day, and together they gave the event its real pulse.
These were not just names on a poster. They were musicians putting something real into the room.
That is why events like this matter. They give us a glimpse of what may shape the sound of the Swiss scene in the years to come.
You will hear from some of them again. We are sure of that.
