On Saturday, December 6th, 2025, RhPf Electronics returns to one of our favorite places in the city for a very special edition of RhPf Plugged In at the Musikflohmarkt in the Markthalle Basel. From 11:00 to 16:00, the iconic dome will turn into a playground for musicians, collectors, and curious ears.
For us as Baslers, being part of this event in the Markthalle means a lot. It is a place where cultures, sounds, food, and people blend naturally. To be able to let visitors experience our work first hand right in the heart of this space feels exactly right.
Guitars, Pedals, and Real Hands-On Testing
This time we are not coming alone. We will be there together with Andy and Alain from the Guitar Barn in Oberwil, bringing a selection of their beautifully crafted guitars so visitors can try our pedals in a real-world setup. Real instruments, real volume, real reactions.
The Guitar Barn has become an important part of our local ecosystem. Their instruments carry character, feel, and soul, and pairing them with our pedals on the floor of the Markthalle will create the perfect environment to explore tone without filters.
Visitors will be able to plug in, play, compare, and feel how our circuits respond under the fingers. This is exactly how we believe pedals should be experienced.
Why the Musikflohmarkt Matters to Us
The Musikflohmarkt is not just a gear market. It is a meeting point for musicians of all generations, styles, and levels. You find guitars next to trumpets, old amps next to synths, and conversations between people who might never meet anywhere else.
That mix is what we love. It reflects how music really works. It is shared, passed on, rediscovered, and reshaped. Being present in this environment fits our philosophy perfectly.
And yes, even though our pedals now travel far beyond Switzerland, it is still incredibly important for us to be visible right here at home. There are still people in Basel who have never stumbled across RhPf yet. Events like this are how those first encounters happen.
A Day Under the Dome
The Markthalle itself adds its own magic to the experience. The light under the dome, the food stands around the hall, the constant movement of people, the sound of instruments being tested in every corner. It is alive. And for one afternoon, it becomes a living instrument store filled with stories.
Admission is free, and the HausBAR will be open with drinks throughout the day. Come for the gear, stay for the atmosphere.
