What This Is
The RhPf Swiss Touring Board is a single pedalboard that travels across Switzerland, moving from musician to musician, hand to hand.
Instead of being shipped around or booked through a system, it changes hands in person. Each stop lasts one week. One player meets the next, passes the board on, and the story continues without interruption.
Along the way, every musician plays the same setup in their own space, at their own pace, and in their own way. Over time, the board becomes more than a collection of pedals. It turns into a shared object shaped by different hands, rooms, songs, and conversations.
At its core, it’s a simple idea. It just happens to work best when it stays human.
Why We Do It
The idea for the RhPf Swiss Touring Board came from a feeling that something was missing.
These days, a lot of music culture happens at a distance. Gear gets shipped. Content gets posted. Relationships stay polite, efficient, and transactional. We wanted to slow that rhythm down and bring things back to where music actually lives: in rooms, between people, over time.
Because of that, the Touring Board is built around use rather than promotion. Instead of asking musicians to perform for the gear, we ask them to live with it. When someone spends a week with the board, the goal isn’t output. It’s familiarity.
What matters to us is curiosity, generosity, and care. Showing interest before asking for anything in return. Seeing music as something shared, not leveraged. When those values are present, everything else tends to fall into place on its own.
What Comes Next
The RhPf Swiss Touring Board isn’t a one-off experiment. It’s something we return to a few times a year, each time as a new chapter.
The next journey is planned for April, with others to follow. As it moves, the board continues to evolve, just like the scene around it. We keep working with collaborators who share this mindset, while gradually inviting more Swiss makers to contribute a piece of what they build.
At the same time, the focus stays the same. This isn’t about showcasing one brand or one sound. Instead, it’s about carrying a small cross-section of Swiss gear through the country and letting musicians discover it in context, not isolation.
For that reason, we don’t run open calls or application rounds. We pay attention. We listen, follow, meet, and talk. Relationships come first, and invitations grow out of those connections naturally.
How We Select the Musicians
There isn’t a single path that leads to the Touring Board, and that’s very much by design.
In many cases, the connection starts with the pedals themselves. Someone spends time with one, and later reaches out to tell us how it fits into their music. From there, conversations begin. We follow their projects, listen to their songs, meet up at a show, share a few beers, and gradually get to know each other beyond messages and posts.
At other times, things start face to face. We meet at a fair, a concert, or some unexpected place in between. They stop by to try our gear, we exchange ideas, talk about music, and stay in touch afterward. Sometimes we end up seeing them live. Sometimes the conversation simply keeps going. Either way, something clicks.
There are also moments when the connection begins with our story rather than our pedals. Someone reaches out because they resonate with why we build what we build. We exchange experiences, talk openly, and over time, trust forms naturally.
Across all of these paths, one thing remains consistent. The musicians who join the Touring Board are people who genuinely support what we do. That support shows up in different ways. Through conversations, through showing up at shows, through sharing our work because they believe in it, not because they were asked to. It exists on social media, but also well beyond it.
Because of that, invitations rarely feel like a decision made on paper. Instead, they feel like the next step in a relationship that’s already underway.

Right now, the RhPf Swiss Touring Board is already on the road.
Each week brings a new musician, a new environment, and a new interpretation of the same setup. Along the way, we share their music, their thoughts, and small glimpses of how the board fits into their world.
Meanwhile, the story keeps unfolding in public. You can follow the current journey, explore the interactive map, and listen to the playlist that brings all participating artists together. There’s nothing to sign up for and nothing to apply to. Just sound, movement, and people connected through music.
In the end, that’s what this project is really about. Giving things time. Letting them move at a human pace. And seeing what happens when you do.
