What This Is

The Pedal Name Roulette is a three-word generator that combines an adjective, a core concept, and a mascot-style finisher. Think “The Heavy Red Screamer,” “The Analog Drone Wizard,” or “The Fuzzy Tape Surfer.” It is built for builders, brands, and anyone who has opened Illustrator before finishing the circuit.

Why We Built It

We love pedals and we love names. The scene is full of legends like Tube Screamer and Big Muff. Modern names often read like album tracks. Builders still ask the same question every week. What do we call this one. This roulette gives you a nudge, a laugh, and maybe even, the perfect name on the first spin.

What’s New

Edit any reel: click the small pencil, type your own word, and it locks in place.
Lock individual reels: freeze a keeper and spin the rest.
Crowd mix-in: tick Include Crowd to blend community-approved words with any mode.
Suggest names: send us word ideas from inside the tool. Add your email if you want a note when we approve or reject.

How It Works

Pick a Mode or stay in Normal. Doom gives heavy words. Synth Freak gets sci-fi. Vintage keeps it classic.
Tick Include Crowd if you want community words mixed in.
Hit Spin. The reels roll and stop in sequence.
Lock or Edit any reel to chase a theme without starting over.
Click Copy name to paste it in your artwork file or parts list.
Use Share / Embed if your build diary or forum thread needs a live roulette.
Click Suggest names to send words for the pool. Commas or line breaks both work.

Crowd Suggestions

Add words for Adjective, Middle, or Noun. We review every entry, approve good fits, and they join the public pool. Leave your email if you want an approval or rejection note. No newsletter signup trick. Just the status.

Important Note for Builders

This toy does not generate legal advice. It just generates ridiculous names. Check for trademarks in your region before you print 500 boxes. If your name is “very obviously that other brand,” maybe roll again.

Tips for Better Rolls

Spin three times and shortlist two favorites.
Swap the middle word for a color if it reads better on your graphic.
If you got a keeper, try the same adjective with two new spins for variants.
Mini enclosures look cleaner with shorter nouns. “The Atomic Boost Box” beats “The Atomic Modulated Harmonizer Machine.”

For Brands In A Hurry

If your new “totally original” circuit has a certain green theme and a certain mid hump, we will not tell. The roulette will. Keep spinning until your inner marketing person nods.
