The Catana is a one-of-a-kind edition of the RhPf Electronics Shodhana, created in collaboration with Basel-based visual artist Oz Tabib. Each enclosure features Oz’s photography and visual language, turning the pedal into both an instrument and a physical art piece.
Built around the expressive, touch-sensitive voice of the Shodhana, Catana moves from open MOSFET clarity to rich, harmonically layered overdrive with only two controls, preserving the balance, feel, and musicality that define the original circuit.
Oz’s work captures contrast, texture, imperfection, and atmosphere in a way that felt deeply connected to the spirit of the pedal from the beginning. There are four units in the world, one his Oz’, one is ours, one of the remaining two could be yours. Each unit comes with an A3 portrait print of the original picture, each numbered and signed.
