On July 29th, something unexpected landed in our inbox—a moment that split time into “before” and “after”: Premier Guitar had just published a full feature on the Mosferatwo.

Wait. What?

Premier Guitar. The magazine I used to buy in print at airport kiosks. The website I’ve had bookmarked since forever. The place where boutique builders, legends, and new releases rub shoulders. And now, there it was in black and white: “RhPf Electronics Unleashes Mosferatwo Mosfet Overdrive.”

Still feels surreal.

Why This Means So Much

Premier Guitar is one of the most respected gear platforms out there. If you’re in the guitar world, you know it. Their team doesn’t just publish press releases—they curate, evaluate, and decide what deserves attention. So when they picked up the Mosferatwo, it wasn’t just a boost in visibility. It was a stamp of recognition. From a small basement workshop in Basel to a global audience of tone chasers, we couldn’t have imagined a more affirming way to close out our first semester.

What They Wrote

The article dives straight into the heart of what makes the Mosferatwo special:

“A handcrafted MOSFET overdrive delivering saturated tones with clarity, nuance, and punch.”

They broke down the core elements—our dual-stage Drive control, the Focus knob that shapes everything from bloom to bite, and the Heart and Bite EQ switches that give players surgical control without overcomplication.

But what we really loved is that they didn’t just talk about features. They understood the intention. The pedal’s dynamic response, its touch sensitivity, its wide stylistic range—from gritty garage blues to articulate classic rock—that all came through. It’s one thing to describe a circuit. It’s another to get it.

And right at the top of the article, they embedded the demo video by Philip—something that means the world to us.

Philip has been with us since day one. He’s not just a gifted guitarist—he’s someone who hears what we’re trying to build, and reflects it back with soul, nuance, and truth. With his Mosferatwo demo, he carries the voice we often can’t find, giving shape and sound to ideas that started on a breadboard and lived too long in notebooks. He doesn’t just play the pedal—he amplifies our story.

There are a lot of great demo artists out there. But Philip? To us, he’s something truly special—a rare kind of player who doesn’t just showcase tone, but communicates it. His playing brings out the heart of the circuit in a way that exceeds anything we could have hoped for.

If you’re curious about what makes this pedal stand out, or if you’ve been thinking about trying one, this is a great place to start.

A Proud Step Forward

For a project that started with breadboards and scribbled schematics at the kitchen table, this moment carries more weight than most people would ever guess. The earliest breadboards and scribbled schematics date back to 2004. But RhPf Electronics only truly began years later, after my diagnosis in December 2023.

In the weeks leading up to surgery, I gathered all my designs—circuits, notes, the blueprint for what would later be known as the Mosferatwo—and handed them to Simone. If things didn’t go well, I wanted someone to carry the legacy. I wanted the work to live on.

When I woke up from the operation, she gave the folder back to me and said:
“It’s on us now. Let’s make it real.”

And we did.

We’ve always tried to build pedals that are original, expressive, and full of personality—and to see that philosophy acknowledged by a platform like Premier Guitar is humbling.

We’re still a tiny team—just Simone and I, and our dog Pouchie Lou lurking under the workbench. But milestones like this remind us that staying independent, weird, and stubbornly original does reach people. And when it does, it’s magic.

About Premier Guitar

If you’re not familiar (in which case—welcome!), Premier Guitar is one of the most widely read and respected publications in the guitar universe. Since 2007, they’ve built a reputation for in-depth gear reviews, artist interviews, demos, and genuinely thoughtful journalism in a field that often leans on hype. Their coverage spans boutique, mainstream, experimental, vintage—you name it.

Being featured there means reaching the people who care deeply about sound, playability, build quality, and inspiration. It’s a platform that celebrates gear not just for what it is, but for what it helps musicians express.

Thank You

To Jon and the whole team at Premier Guitar: thank you for giving us this space. For listening, for seeing what we’re trying to do, and for helping tell our story.

And to everyone in the RhPf Family—this one’s for you. Every test, every DM, every demo you tagged us in… it led here. And the crazy part? We’re only just getting started.
