Mosphoros Around the World

A Launch That Travelled Further Than Expected

When we released Mosphoros, several guitar publications around the world picked up the story. The coverage reached readers in North America, France, Brazil, and far beyond those markets. Premier Guitar, Guitar Bomb, Audiofanzine, Guitarload, and Pedais e Efeitos each approached the pedal differently. Some focused on the circuit, while others focused on touch, stacking, or real-world use. What made the coverage so satisfying was how clearly the main idea survived. Mosphoros does not simply add more distortion. It lets players shape how their sound begins to break up. That idea sits at the heart of the pedal. Several MOSFET gain stages interact across the circuit, creating a gradual path from clean lift to rich saturation. The result stays responsive, open, and closely connected to the player.

When the Circuit Makes Sense Outside Our Own Words

Premier Guitar described Mosphoros as a multi-stage MOSFET overdrive with a controlled transition across its full range. Their article highlighted touch sensitivity, note definition, and predictable stacking with other drives. Audiofanzine looked deeper into the circuit and called the architecture highly original. They explained how Bass and Treble affect gain, clipping threshold, compression, and frequency balance together. That point matters because those controls are not ordinary EQ knobs. They change how the overdrive develops, not only how the finished sound is filtered. Guitarload followed the same idea from another angle. Their article described Mosphoros as an active system for sculpting sound, with transients and note definition preserved throughout. They also wrote that the pedal expands the original sound instead of replacing it. That sentence gets very close to the reason we built Mosphoros.

Built for the Player’s Hands

Guitar Bomb introduced Mosphoros through a problem many players know well. Some overdrives sound exciting briefly, then cover the guitar with compression. Their article calls this the β€œoverdrive blanket.” From there, they present Mosphoros as an amp-like alternative for players who rely on touch.

The title says it clearly: β€œAmp-Like MOSFET Overdrive for Players Who Hate Overdrives.”

Light picking stays clean and open, while harder attack brings out more grit and harmonic density. Rolling back the guitar volume restores clarity without breaking the connection between player and amplifier. Guitar Bomb also described the controls as a β€œgain-intertwined EQ.” That phrase fits the pedal well because tone and saturation develop together. Their conclusion captured the idea beautifully. The best tone shaping happens through the player’s fingertips, not through constant pedal adjustments. This was also Guitar Bomb’s first feature about RhPf Electronics. We are very happy that Mosphoros became their introduction to our work.

From Clean Boost to Main Drive

Pedais e Efeitos focused on how Mosphoros fits into a complete rig. Their article presented it as a clean boost, foundational drive, or main source of saturation. They also highlighted guitar volume, touch, and stacking behaviour. Across those roles, the pedal remains articulate, organic, and responsive. That practical perspective completes the picture nicely. Mosphoros may use an unusual circuit, but the goal was always simple. We wanted a drive that followed the player instead of flattening everything into one fixed response.

The Same Idea Across Several Languages

Each publication brought its own voice and audience to the release. One explored the player’s hands, while another followed the gain stages inside the circuit. Elsewhere, the focus moved toward stacking, clean boosting, dynamic range, or harmonically rich saturation. Yet the same qualities kept returning. Mosphoros responds closely to picking strength and guitar volume. It preserves note definition while moving naturally across a wide gain range. Its controls shape how the overdrive behaves, not only how it sounds afterward. That gives players more control over the entire breakup process. Seeing that idea remain intact across several languages has been genuinely encouraging. It shows that Mosphoros explains itself through sound and feel.

For an independent Swiss brand, this kind of international coverage means a great deal. It helps the pedal reach players who may never encounter us otherwise. More importantly, the articles explain why Mosphoros exists. They connect the circuit with players who value touch, dynamics, stacking, and natural breakup. We are grateful to every publication that took the time to share the release. Each article added something useful while keeping the same musical idea intact.
